Still reading the handbook and learning.
I know that the three gearbox settings-Economy, Comfort,Sport can be flicked between by using the rocker style switch under the heater controls.

I know that if I want to drive manually so to speak then I push the gear shift over to the left and go up or down the gears ( being bone idle I can't see me doing this very much !)
BUT
If I push it to the left and just leave it there then Sport mode is engaged and as I drive the gearbox still changes gear automatically, just like sport on the rocker switch. Is there any difference between these two Sport settings or do they do just the same thing albeit that if in gearshift sport I can change gears when I want rather than letting the gear box decide ?

Cheers
Brian.

Sport gearbox (shifter to the left-S) affects the gearchange speed and the shift points. Eco/comfort/Sport affects throttle response, steering weight, suspension firmness (if adaptive is present) and a few other items depending on exact vehicle spec.

Example of an F30:

Really "on it" fast driving i didnt have time to bother pushing or pulling the gearstick up and down. The paddles were best.
