E60 Climate noise.

I have this noise when I start the car.

It goes off after 20 to 30 seconds.

Switching the climate off stops it instantly.

Just switching Aircon off makes no difference.

It’s inside the car, no audible from outside.

I removed the climate panel and cleaned up the little fan there as they are known to make noise, this hasn’t done anything.

Quite why I thought a fan the size of a ten pence piece would make such a noise is beyond me!

This has been going on a couple of days.

I would hazard a guess that something is jammed behind the dash that should open up on start up or when you switch the climate control on.

Any ideas?

How much dashboard is going to have to come out?

PS, I edited the video as I was doing some very unflattering heavy breathing.

But the noise stops instantly when you press the off button on the dash.

Ive had similar in the past, the noise is coming from the air conditioning compressor. It's lacking oil/gas, It could require a new condenser.
