F33 440i Conv Roof Problem Again!
Discussion
Hi All
Can someone let me know what the following code means for the CVM module:
80508C CTM, functional restriction: Repeat interlock hard top drive (hydraulic pump)
I replaced the 2 salmon relays after a water leak caused them to fry and everything was working, however now the roof wont open and I keep getting the orange warning light for the convertible roof on the dash coming up together with the code above that wont clear.
Any ideas as to what is causing this?
The windows dont roll down and I dont hear anything. Do you think perhaps the relays have gone again or 1 of them?
Thanks for any help. I am getting increasingly frustrated with this car!

If water go into the relays, it makes sense it got in elsewhere.
Time to get a friendly diagnostician on the job. They will be able to probe inputs, outputs, earths etc etc and trace the fault. Could be as simple as a corroded connector. Depending on how much you like tearing into cars you could look for simple signs yourself. if there is nothing completly obvious then certain diag tools will be needed to probe the canbus network

Yes it did, the whole sound deadening foam was soaked through. it was a mess and there were several signs of corrosion that I cleaned up. The pump was however completely dry when I replaced the salmon relays and everything was working. I think I will take it all apart again and see what I can find out.
