Pre-purchase inspection on 2106 X5 with AUC warranty

I am looking to buy a 2016 hybrid X5 under the BMW AUC scheme in the next few months to be ULEZ compliant. There's is a car at Strastone at the moment that meets my needs and means.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to research all the buyer's guides and make sure that I am not buying a lemon. Would it be possible have a PPI done and using this to get the dealer to sort out any niggles before parting with my money? Has anyone done this and was PPI worth it?
