E9x new & registered battery shows as nearly flat but isn’t

Hi All,
Like many, our cars didn’t get used much during lockdown, the BM (2011 e92) wasn’t kept on a conditioner and it looks like it killed the battery. After charging and starting on old battery it wasn’t holding a charge, I drive controller wasn’t working and ctek wasn’t bringing it back so I bough a new one.
New battery had a higher ah so I bought the BimmerCode app and changed it to the new specs, then registered it with BimmerLink. At this point the battery showed just over 12.8v with car off. Car started fine, no laziness, I was expecting (hoping) the idrive controller would start working but it didn’t, plus I had the low battery warning pop up, and increased discharge....
Went back in with BimmerLink and it showed a battery status of 2% :rolleyes”
Checked for error codes, nothing. Disconnected the IBS cable, no change. Reconnected and re-registered battery, still shows as 2%.
All I can conclude from this is the IBS cable/module isn’t letting me register the new battery and reading it correctly, or the BimmerLink app is cr4p.
Any suggestions of things to try next?
