2A37 & 2A47 error codes - help! Valvetronic?

Hi,

After having a new battery registered last week the above error codes showed up without any warning message on the dashboard. Only after the battery was fitted, the car seemed hesitant when driving and on start up. Has anyone faced these issues? I looked up the codes and noted might be related to valvetronic motor...does anyone know if issues on these are covered by BMW extended warranty for engine and gearbox only (>100k mileage). Could this issue be related to lack of driving during COVID and suggest a sensor issue rather than a mechanical issue?

It wouod help if you say what car you have. The valvetronic motor may have lost its end positions and need re initialisation. Never heard of it happening though from a battery change.
