I've owned three different BMW 3 series over the last 9 years, all three of them were in the same location over the weekend.

2002 E46 325i Auto Touring owned from October 2012 until December 2016 - on 103,100 miles now

2008 E91 330d Auto M Sport Touring owned from December 2016 - on 115,050 miles now

2016 F31 335d Auto M Sport Touring owned from May this year - on 46,200 miles now.

I wanted a silver 335d but couldn't find a decent spec one over the 3 months I was looking.

That's an interesting photo. thumbup

For me the E46 is the best looking one, and more distinctive than the others. The F31 doesn't look that much different to the E91!

The E46 has been owned by 5 members of my family since 6 months old, i'm just selling it for my step mum.

I personally like the way that the E91 drives, when the F31 arrived I wasn't sure whether to keep the E91 or a 61 plate top spec TDCI Focus Estate. My wife used the E91 for 2 weeks and decided that even though it was older without as many toys, she preferred it to the Focus.

Funny you should say that, after recently buying another I also have three generations of three series.

A 1993 E36 320i coupe
A 2001 E46 325ti compact
A 2005 E91 330i touring

All different cars with their foibles in their own rights. Now to get an E30!

I’ve got an e30 and an f31. Had an e46 before the f31.

All great cars.

Well the older E46 went off to its new owner last week.

On the day of hand over it threw up the engine warning light, just as we were about to transfer funds frown The guy did take it, I was a bit embarrassed as it looked a bit dodgy. He agreed to take for the agreed price anyway, the car had been stood for 5 weeks so he was going to get the fault codes read for which I said i'd pay for. The joys of older cars eh?
