BMW E36 318i engine

[skullandbiscuits]

Hi All

Trying to find if the E36 convertible ever had the 318is engine? I understand the 318i came with 115bhp M43, but later on in 98/99 shared the M44 engine

Was this the 318is engine?

I don’t think so. But you can check by looking up on realoem website.

Only US market Convertibles had the M44.
