Can anyone give me an answer re' BMW parts numbers and their application ?
For example, lets say that the "Lower FuggleWuggle Cash Extractor" that is fitted as standard to my Series 2 Active Tourer F45 is also fitted to the Series 1,3,4,5 etc, the same identical part. Would I be correct in assuming that this part will have the same BMW Part Number across the range, irrelevant to which car it is fitted to ?
Extending this thought, if the "Lower FuggleWuggle Cash Extractor" as per the F45 is also fitted to the BMW MINI then would the part number remain identical or would BMW MINI have its own part number designation, even though the part is identical ?
And finally, is there a good website that gives the BMW part numbers ?

Many thanks
Brian.

Yes, part number should be consistent.

This is the site you need: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select

It will also tell you when a part is superseded (and the relevant part #). It also covers the MINI models.

The part number is the same where ever it is used.

If the LFWCE is made in one country, but also used in another country, the part number still remains the same.

If an identical version of the LFWCE is made in several locations, each version will have a different part number, even if they are identical, for traceability, logistics planning, customs and so on .

The first 4 numbers are the component group, the next 7 are the part number, the next 2 are the version of the part.

There is no difference regarding vehicle fitment.
