Test drove an M140i manual today and I loved it so I decided that’s the car I’m going to buy but they wouldn’t move on the price so I went back to the classifieds and saw a M240i manual with a better spec and cheaper which I have reserved online with BMW but it’s in Wales which is 4 hours away so I’d be buying it without test driving it.

I know they’re the same car but is there any noticeable difference between them?

Thanks in advance

The 2 series seems to handle better and has far less complaisant about the chassis than the 1 series does. I’ve not driven one, but owners don’t moan about an overly stiff rear end that pogos around on a B road the the vagueness.

Nice one OP. I've always fancied a M235i/M240i as well, and they are a car that I've always liked.

Keep us updated if you get it/one. thumbup

I don't think you will regret it, I think the m235/m240 are unbelievable performance bargains and a fantastic all rounder
