I’d recommend the bottom mounts are changed too. BMW make a fitting kit with these and other fittings needed.

Bilstein b4 are the standard option, the B6 sport dampeners aren't much more.

Replace BOTH sides and use the opportunity to replace any worn looking bushes would be my plan.
