Normal tyres worth the change from runflats?
Discussion
I have a mixed set. Happy to wait for runflats to wear off first. I don't like runflats at all, but on the other hand I am not binning perfectly legal tyres (with added piece of mind if I have a puncture) before it's due. If nothing, then for the sake of the environment. There are worse things in life than having RFTs on a single axle.

My current G29 340MSport came with runflats. Really can’t see the problem. All seems good to me.
My previous G30 also had runflats.
Me neither (currently on 19" Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2), although I will say the Bridgestone RE050 is crap and the S001 is great until you get down to ~3mm tread, then grip just falls off a cliff. My previous G30 also had runflats.

Just put a set of CrossClimate 2's on Mrs JNW1's Cooper S and so far haven't detected any downsides whatsoever compared to the summer tyres they replaced (which were Michelin Primacy's, conventional rather than run-flat). Therefore, on the basis the CrossClimates will be better than the summer tyres when the colder weather arrives, it's feeling like a good decision so far. My G21 M340i is still on its original Pirelli run-flats and I don't find them so bad that I'm inclined to throw them away when they're not even half worn; however, when replacement time comes I think there's a good chance they'll also go in favour of a set of CrossClimate 2's....
When changing my 630 from RFTs to normal tyres I did the fronts first so have driven many miles with RFTs just on the rear.
Didn't die. Back a bit 'skippy' but now both front and rear are on PS4s, car feels better.
Who normally drives the car? How many miles? Would a puncture be a ballache?

Have Pirelli PZero RFTs on a standard suspension X3 with 18" wheels. They're fine and comfortable. I think if you have sports suspension plus big wheels plus run flats then you might have issues with comfort and changing any of those 3 will help, tyres usually being the cheapest. Happy with the RFTs and no room for a spare.
I went through 3 sets of 17" Pirelli run-flats on my E87 123d and never had any issues with them, other than a bit of tram-lining if the pressures had dropped sightly or when they were getting worn on the outer edges.
But nothing like the tramlining I had on both my E86 Z4s with the horrible Bridgestone Potenza run-flats. I was planning to swap to non-runflats on my 2nd one, but then I replaced it with an E86 M which only came with non-runflats and they are just so much better!
I had an E91 325i for a year on 17" Pirelli run-flats and replaced it a couple of years ago with an E90 330i on 17" Continental run-flats which are nearly as good as the Pirellis.
I can live with decent run-flats on a daily like a 1 or 3 Series for the convenience factor - in 80K miles in my 123d I only ever got 2 punctures and both times I did it was snowing.
