I have a 2018 5 series which has wide Msport rear wheels 275/40/18

I can’t find anywhere that supplies winter tyres for them- fronts fine but rears not an option.

Anyone had managed to find any for you his size wheel?

Look at your tyre label (door sticker). Does it recommend that size for winter tyres? Winter tyres tend to be recommended as a ‘square set-up (same size on all corners), and narrower width (narrower tyres ‘dig’ into the snow/slush better).

Plus the tyres will be cheaper!

Rather than getting tyres swapped I've found it cheaper overall to find a cheap set of wheels for winters (or better still with winters already fitted) then sell them when the car goes.

Fully agree

A separate set of winter alloys & tyres (if you've got the storage that is) makes life much easier

I agree with the above suggestion to get a separate winter setup if you have space to store them. It will probably work out cheaper than buying 4 new tyres for your existing staggered setup. Also nice to have a slightly different appearance for the winter months

I recently bought a set of BMW Style 619's (18 inch 245/45) with around 6mm Michelin Alpins fitted, from Original Rader in Germany. The wheels were in fantastic condition with just minimal wear on the bolt flanges (hidden behind the bolt head) two of the tyres are down to 5.5 mm. Total cost was just under £900 delivered, including Import Duties/VAT and ParcelForce handling charges ( £721 invoice cost including credit card charges plus £173 for Import Duties/VAT/Handling Charge )

One word of warning if you go this route. Customs allowed 3 of the 4 wheels to be delivered immediately ( arrived approximately a week after placing the order ) and they retained the 4th wheel to ensure Import Duties/VAT were paid. Due to massive incompetence on the part of ParcelForce, it took around 4 weeks (from original order date) for the final wheel to be delivered, so not an option if they are needed quickly.
