G31 not remember media upon start up

I have a G31 520d and for sone reason it doesn’t keep the same media as when the engine is switched off. For example, if I’m listening to the radio when I park up it will always start up with Apple CarPlay and I have to scroll back to the radio if that’s what I want to listen to. Not a huge issue but annoying. It Did it a while ago by always switching away from saved stations to regular DAB but it seem to fix it self. Now it’s back.

The dealer claims It’s normal which I find hard to believe. Any thoughts?

Mrs Magnum's 220i frequently does this. It 'forgets' what you were listening to and launches something completely random. My F30 (when it's working at all) doesn't - it goes straight back to where you were when you last switched off. They're both on the same version of iDrive.

Yep sounds the same! Anyone know of a fix?
