E46 manual seats to electric

Been offered a set of red leather seats for my E46, they're SE seats identical to mine in every way except they're red and from a PFL (mine is a 2004 facelift). Non heated, will it be a straight swap in or will I have to do some wiring? Some forum threads say identical saloon seats will be a straight swap in without having to wire whereas others say it's a pain of wiring to do. Would it be simpler to just swap the backs/cushions from the red electric seats onto the manual bases?
