435d - are they targets
Discussion
I debadged my 335d, inc the chintzy M Sport badges, purely so peeps thought it was a 320d at traffic lights
Too much fun

A 435d isnt a target as such however just look at owners forums to see the trade for LED light clusters/ 19" alloys etc etc etc
Ask no questions........................
My 335d was vanilla and easily slipped under the radar
A tarted up 318i would have been a much bigger target
Cheers

Any car thief worth their salt will be able (or find a way to be able) to know the difference between a 20d & 35d.
It's also very sad to say that in most cases, if they want it, they'll have it.
They can just check the MOT / VED status….It's also very sad to say that in most cases, if they want it, they'll have it.
There’s not a lot to visually distinguish a 435d from a 420d now the 35d has dropped the wheel barrow handle exhausts.
As above, if they want it, they'll take it. About 8 years ago I had a 530d Tourer taken from the driveway overnight, never recovered or triggered any ANPR cameras. I'm based in Surrey, close to M3 & M25.
The police detective who was investigating a spate of thefts in the local stated with half a tank of fuel, likely to be in a container either at Kent or Southampton/Portsmouth within a couple of hours running false plates. The gang they were after rotated car marques every 3 months.
I replaced that car with a 535d tourer, that never had an issue being stolen.
