New tyre bmw m135 2019 model
Discussion
Evening,
Needing some advice on new tyre for my m135 xdrive.
My front tyre are warn and kooks like it due to pressure in the tyre as they are tramline worn.
The back tyre have around 4mm still so am I safe to change front only if I put on same bridgestone s005?
If I am replacing them all is there any recommendations I did conside uniroyal rain sport 5 or asymmetric 5

The UR RainSport 5s are great tyres; but IMO you may want better for your 135...
However, they were really well suited to the UK climate and great for commuting. They changed my FIL's 530D into a totally different car (in 18" sizes); from the Bridgestone RFTs he was running before them
My pal had a 135i (now on a 140i) and he really rated the Vredestein Ultrac Vortis' (he runs them on his E91 335D touring now for his summer tyres; on winters currently) and his 135i was superb on the Goodyear Eagle F1s too (albeit they were a touch soft in the sidewall); but that gave them a more compliant ride. He runs BBS alloys though; not sure if that makes much difference as the tyre sizes he runs a one size wider than OEM I think. They're coming to the end of their life now and think he's torn between the Vreds and PS4s
Another pal who has a mapped 125D has the Falken FK510s on currently and he really rates them, his PS4s were needing to be replaced and he went for these as they do get good reviews and he's said they're really superb in wet & dry and his lives out in the sticks and they really help to calm the really rough & pot-holed roads etc

So do you know if i need to replace the back tyre as well as front. If i can keep the back I just put bridgestone s005 on the front. Tyre company I spoke to seem to think I didn't as long as I replaced the two front but Internet makes me think otherwise.
Basically the list I am looking at just now are
Uni royal rain sport purely as I had them on another car.
Bridgestone s005 but they wore out pretty quick
Pirelli pzero Nero gt
Goodyear asymmetric
Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 2 are these any good

Don't know why I excluded costco but think I will go with Michelin 235/35 R19 (91) Y PILOT SPORT 4 S XL as they are coming in at £531 as they have 100 quid off.
If that's for all 4, go for it!Personally I wouldn't have 2 difference brands of tyre on a car; but that's my personal choice. Even though it's 'ok' to do (as long as they're on the same axle); it can make a cars handling not great (difference compounds/tread patterns front & rear etc)

Can you clarify what you mean by tyres being "tramline worn"?
Hi Well going by online it says it due to the recommend pressure that bmw has for the tyre. The tyre on top is worn but the side treads are still legal it literally like a straight line around the tyre on both front tyre. Doesn't seem to be an issue on the back

Before I order my new tyre is there a difference between Michelin PILOT SPORT 4S XL and Michelin PILOT SPORT 4S XL DT1?
Costco have both but the DT1 are £1.25 cheaper z tyre but I can't find what the difference is or which is better?
Image below is how the central tread looks as you can see it's above tread limit on outside tread which is why I only noticed now.

On another forum there a thread on it with similar issue to mine where I got tramline definition from. They seem to have gone with "under inflated" tyre now to remedy the issue.

Are you on 18" or 19" wheels and what pressures are you actually running, forget what the idrive says. It's a well documented problem the M135i eating through tyres.
I'm on 18" running 2.7/2.2bar and haven't noticed any tram lining or uneven wear yet.
They are 19in and I need to check preasure tomorrow.I'm on 18" running 2.7/2.2bar and haven't noticed any tram lining or uneven wear yet.
I have assumed preasure on display are right as it was my dad car but I received it due to him passing away late last year so it something I have not checked but knowing him he probably did

Well got refunded for my tyre at costco refused to fit them as they are not recommended bmw certified tyre....
So other bridgestone what makes are certified?
Why do they need to be BMW certified? So other bridgestone what makes are certified?
Was that Costco’s ruling or have you said they need to be?
IIRC unless under warranty, the tyres can be whatever you want them to be, no need to stick to BMW specs
Just fit the same size/width tyres that are on currently, but of your choice
Check Camskill for prices, Tyreleader also

BMW are apparently getting more fussy wrt having non-star rated tyres on Xdrive models if you have a warranty claim, if you are nearing the end of the warranty then this might not be of concern but worth noting.
Well after bit if searching online got 4 star marked purrekki zero from national tyre for £521 as they have 5% off cide (PIRE5) so they saved me 7 quid on costco option.I have 18 month on my warranty so rather not take chance of bmw nit fixing something.
