Afternoon, has anyone had this issue?

Electronic display works, but zero air blowing hot or cold. Demister works, is it best to check fuses first or could it just be the blower motor is dead?

Thanks

With the old I drive being not the most intuitive climate control, have you checked that the vents are selected on the idrive?

Always check the cheapest things first.

So, a you said, fuses would be the first call.

Do you have an ODBC tool to check for faults? That might be your next option as they are quite cheap.

I use a Carista bluetooth connector and Torque Pro on android:

You don't need to use their app though and you might get it cheaper elsewhere.

Check the pollen / cabin filters aren't blocked. They're accessed from lift out panels under the bonnet near the wiper motors.

Thanks will check that tonight, and see if I can see the blower and move them to get them going.

I did have a new windscreen fitted 10 days ago, wonder if it’s letting any water in?

Then again I’ve also got the part number for the blower unit complete and also the resistor and they seem
Fairly common/popular with the car parts sellers on eBay

Only buy OEM resistors, many of the ones listed on ebay are made of cheese. Which is not what you want to find every 12 months on an E36 where to fit it relies on having a spine and hips with universal joints. If you speak to the parts desk at Cheltenham BMW (01242 335335) tell them you're a member of Pistonheads, it used to be good for a discount

Spot on thanks. There’s a few YouTube videos of people changing these parts....think I better get it booked into a garage!
