BMW F20 118i engine cover pipes!

After fault finding the wife's car and replacing all the plugs and coils I am left with a question. Where does the rear engine cover pipe go? I can't see anywhere to attach it to. Also WTF are they for?

I've asked on there about things before , also fallen on deaf ears sadly.

Gonna take a better look later on as it must go somewhere. Car is down on power and "drivertrain warning" so it must do something.

Found it. Little brass nipple right at the back tucked behind the oil filter.
