E36 Amber vs clear lights

[F1GTRUeno]

Does anyone know which model came with which and from when?

Specifically thinking of the very early cars (1992) but in general would be interested to know.

IIRC early were amber, later were clear, but could be that that is just how my 92 & 98 were.

All E36's came with amber lights with Sport models (including the Compact) gaining clear indicators for mid/late 1998 (S registration).

You may well have hit the nail on the head as my clear lensed 98 was a sport.
