Hello fellow BMW fans,

I'm moving into a new house in the Surrey Village of Cranleigh in the coming weeks, and I'm in the fortunate position that i don't need to sell my Z4MC. However, it means I'm going to have to put my Z4M Coupe into storage for the short to medium term, as the property doesn't have enough spaces for the daily drive (Mine and wives) + the Z.

I was hoping to lean on the knowledge of BMW / Pistonheads community if anybody is aware of some good companies / individuals that they would recommend.

I've seen a few options via a google search, but it seems ridiculously expensive £400+ (they must be tapping into the London/Surrey Market vibes)

Many thanks for any input!

£400 expensive? Per what? Day, week, month, year?

£100 month is more usual for a regular no frills storage, if Newbury Berks isn't too far a couple of options up here.

Whoops, yep, £400/month.

That’s not a bad idea, happy to cast the net a bit wider. I’ll take a look. Cheers!

Oddly, there's one just outside Cranleigh that was being plugged on here a couple of weeks ago???.

I can help with a dry barn space, if you do fancy Newbury way.

Thanks for the help, I’ll search for it now. Cranleigh area would be ideal.

I assume there’s room for two cars on the property ( driveway? )

Any reason why one of your daily cars can’t be parked on the road outside/nearby ?

Would seem far more sense than spending £400 a month

You’re gonna get lynched for suggesting parking a car on the road!!! The guy on the other thread did.

Don’t you know your only allowed to have a car if you have a off road parking space for it.

You must be one of those paupers I read about.

winkwink

Thats brilliant, thanks for the offer. I'll see what other options come up a tad closer to the new house, if not, I'll certainly be in contact!

Its not a bad suggestion, It is an option I thought about, but I'm a bit anal with the Z, and do want it to be dry-stored and on a trickle charger when its not in use.
I also thought i could settle into the new house, and potentially one of the neighbours won't require all of their spaces, and I could strike a deal with them.

I have a stormforce cover .. works a treat for when the car is left on a driveway

The ctek charger lead will fit in the gap between the slam panel and wing/bonnet allowing the bonnet to be shut which means the car can be locked and a lead run to a socket

So the car can be covered, locked and on a charge on the drive

Putting a car in remote storage at a significant cost means you’ll hardly ever use it and end up resenting the cost of keeping it
