E36 Short Shifter
Discussion
Hello all, I have a 328i Msport Coupe and i am looking for an OEM short shifter. I know ACS did them when the car was released but i cannot find any on EBAY. Does any one have one for sale or can recommend one. I dont want a great big dirty drift spec one. I want something OEM looking. Thank you
There are OEM shifters that will shorten the throw though if that is what you are after. This will give you an idea on what to look for.

I have seen this one before, i messaged the guy and he said it didn't fit... i thought if it is M52 it should do... The best one is from certain E90 M Sport cars, a factory lever that slots in, looks standard but gives a really nice short shift without being too short. A guy on E30 zone is selling one for £25 a pop plus whatever postage costs. The ratio is the same as the Z3 2.8.
On some cars you need to either remove the propshaft front balancer or heat and bend the gearshift rod but I've never had to on an E36. Z3 levers of all kinds fit straight into an E36 btw.
