What questions should I be asking before buying this 640i

We are discussing price as it's a touch high compared to rest of market but I'd love some advice on what questions I should be asking before buying? It doesn't look like anything major has gone wrong bar oil and filter changes etc in the regular services. I'm right in saying these cars generally are not known to be plagued by reliability problems?

That is fair to say, generally. B58 engine and zf8 box are very strong with no known common failures so far apart from the oil filter disintegration problem on oil change.

I have a 2017 540i X-Drive with this engine and gearbox combo. I have had persistent problems with mine. Generally though they are regarded as fairly good.

Mine has a problem that when driving it 'jerks' when the accelerator is only slightly depressed. They have changed some valves and other stuff but it is still there. I am so fed up with it that if it isn't fixed next time I will sell it. It is almost like fuel starvation but isn't always there. As the computer hasn't produced a fault code they think I am imagining it.

This generation 6 Series never got the B58 engine, it will have the N55.
