Hi All

Have recently locked in a deal to change my AMG E43 Estate for a G31 530D Touring. Never owned a BMW before but the G31 seems to get really positive reviews and looks very plush and comfortable. Should be collecting towards the end of the week, so will post some pictures, but in the meantime here are one or two from the Ad…

Needed to be cheaper to run than the E43, pacey and still be a workhorse…so this one has the electrically deployable towbar….which does narrow down the field somewhat when looking. Coming from the Approved Used Scheme, 1 owner and full BMW Service History. Same age as my E43, 2018 and similar mileage. Quite looking forward to it!

Very nice. Needs the different fascia, so many stick with the aluminium look

I tend to prefer the real wood veneer to aluminium foil.

Yes, I agree. I quite liked the fascia trim, especially as it is quite a light tone. So many of my previous cars have been aluminium look (incl. the E43) or piano black. Not so keen on dark wood trims though.

Bluestone - snap!!!!

My 530d is utterly lovely. Standard spec was perfectly decent but I have HK and comfort pack. Leccy seats a nice luxury but Im a bit of an outlier and really like keyless go. And never having had a reverse camera can no longer imagine getting by without

Its on PCP however when the term ends Im buying it. The car is lovely and getting into similar at the moment is crackers money and unlikely to change. Never really done PCP but went for it as I figured a 4y big diesel would be worth peanuts and the option to walk away was very appealing, my GFV is modest but the car was massively discounted so monthlies and buy out price are pretty sweet. Similar money currently has me driving a Fiesta..........

Enjoy

I hope to. The one I am buying also has HK and Electric Memory Seats plus many many other toys. Pick up Thursday.

Looks well that.

Chap I work with has had a string of 530/5d's now and loves them. He resisted the six pots for ages and now won't got back. All of his have absorbe dbig motorway mileages with little effort. Enjoy.

So, in the interests of thread update, I collected on Thursday as planned. Had a 200 mile drive home to get to know the car properly on a mix of A roads and motorways. What a machine. Effortless acceleration with seemingly abundant torque from the straight six, smooth as silk and very very comfortable even in M Sport guise. Very quiet at cruising speeds and feels very solid and well put together with lovely materials used in the cabin. I absolutely love it. Oh and the Moonstone is a really nice colour especially contrasting with the lighter interior.

I have actually never owned a BMW before, so very impressed.
