435d Convertible Rear Window Jamming?

Hi

Rear electric window only goes down about an inch each time I pull on the electric switch then stops. Does another inch if I do again.

435xd, 2017.

Any ideas what’s wrong / fixes?

Water in the motor due to a blocked drain hole. BTDT.

Thanks. Does that fix the issue of you drain it or is it a cause of an issue that requires a part to be replaced?

Our rear window failed completely so BMW looked at the problem as the car was under warranty. They said it needs a new window motor as it has got water damaged due to the drain being blocked. Although the window motor is under warranty the drain which caused the problem wasn’t so they wanted me to pay for the motor and repair. I complained and eventually BMW UK paid for the entire repair as a ‘goodwill gesture’.

It’s obviously a recognised issue for as part of the repair they enlarged the drain holes for those areas on both sides of the car.
