All Season tyre recommendations 2019 F31
Discussion
I’d be very grateful for any recommendations on all season run flat tyre options for a 2019 320d Touring.
Currently it’s on 19” 225/40 front and 255/35 rear in the dreaded Potenza S001s, which are going to need replacing before long. As expected it’s on the hard side for my preference (but acceptable for now) but as well as getting all seasons this autumn I’m considering swapping to an 18” BMW wheel size. I’d really prefer a bit softer ride.
So, I’m particularly interested in thoughts on whether going to a Michelin/Pirelli/Conti alternative in 19” is going to make a noticeable difference, or whether going to 18” as well would be a safer bet. Many thanks in advance.

My pal runs these on his 330D and he's sticking with them for the rest of the year (had Vredestein Ultrac Vorti's all round but 2 got punctures and couldn't be fixed and he's lost storage for his winter alloys/tyre set up):Currently it’s on 19” 225/40 front and 255/35 rear in the dreaded Potenza S001s, which are going to need replacing before long. He raves about them and they get great online reviews too!
Not 19"s nor a 3 but been running none run flat 17" Michellin Cross Climates on my F11 5 estates for over 2 years and very pleased with them. Use to have a summer and winter set of alloys and very happy with the overall performance year round. They now do the Cross Climate + which is supposed to provide some further improvement.

I have been running 17" Michellin Cross Climate 2s (not run flat) since last October & find them excellent.Michelin offering up to £100 off a set of 4 until end of May.
Cross Climates 2s are the latest version.

Hi F30 30d 18 inch tyres new car came on Runflat Bridgestones or Contis cannot remember ,really awful hard crashy howling noise the lot after a month switched to Normal Michelin Pilot ps3's great, felt like I had rubber between me and the tarmac.
3 years of those wanted to go back to Run Flats researched and researched on websites, forums and went with Goodyear F1 Eagle Assymetric 3's they are fantastic so good I would never go back to normal ,I do a shedload of miles and runflats have got me out of trouble more than once and in some ways I even prefer the ride on these.

Many thanks, helpful information.
Anyone got any views on how much of a step in comfort there’d be in going to a modern all-weather runflat compared to also switching to 18”?
FWIW my son in law works at Hondas Flagship dealership and says the people that complain about the ride are always on 19's whatever the vehicle.Anyone got any views on how much of a step in comfort there’d be in going to a modern all-weather runflat compared to also switching to 18”?
Having said that I am now on 19's in my F30 335d and it seems fine to me. ...and I do not mess about if I am not happy, I got rid of the suspension and tyres a month into my brand new F30 30d the suspension was SE and a floating Blancmange so changed to AC Schnitzer shocks and springs

F30 335d x drive. I changed from Pirelli 19” runflats to Goodyear EfficientGrip 18”, runflats. Much quieter and more comfortable ride, especially over potholes and speed humps. Mine is SE suspension but LCI, so the handling is acceptable to me, I don’t propose any suspension changes.Anyone got any views on how much of a step in comfort there’d be in going to a modern all-weather runflat compared to also switching to 18”?
