Passenger-side front wing mirror fault

Hi folks

The passenger-side front wing mirror on my E91 325i has an odd fault.

It doesn’t move when I try to adjust it using the electric control pad on the driver side door.

But it does tilt down when the auto-dip feature is enabled…and then remains stuck in that position.

Any ideas?! Thanks!

I have a similar issue with my 2015 F30 320d - I've just put up with it. I presumed mine was fuse issue

Not sure if it's the same issue but could be related... My E92 had a wandering drivers side mirror that would move to random position on shut down or start up (I forget which). I cleaned up the connector contacts to the motor and it has fixed the issue. Might be worth a shot for a quick and cheap effort.

Thanks again for this - sadly it didn't work. The connectors were actually in very good condition - I cleaned them up regardless, but alas, I still have the same issue. Might be some internal wiring

pahahaha. oops. i put in an order for a front near-side alloy repair just before posting this thread, must have been on my mind still!!
