Probably going to get the brakes started on the V8 this weekend and into next week, whilst I've a few days off

Need a brake rewind tool to push the pistons back in ands thinking of this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Laser-5751-Adjustable-Cal...

Any one used this and if so; does it do the necessary job?

Recommendations for a similar tool maybe?

Cheers

I've just splurged on this laugh

https://www.amazon.co.uk/CNWOOAIVE-Brake-Piston-Sp...

Will see how it goes. One of the lads on the 5 forums recommended it and says it's been faultless!

For £12 it's worth a punt!

A decent wind back tool can turn the brake piston via keys or slots in the surface of the piston. This is necessary on some rear brake setups, where you have to wind the piston back in, instead of simply overcoming the resistance of the fluid behind it. I'd get one that does that.

BMWs don't need that (not the E39s anyways); they simply push back in etc

Previous Honda's you needed to wind them back in; I've still got that tool somewhere!

Have always just used long nose pliers, undo the brake reservoir cap helps.

Aah ok, it's just if you ever own or work on a car that does it is handy to have the extra capability especially as the price difference is fair negligible.
