BMW Somerfest, Donnington - 7 August 2022

I went today, mainly on the pretext of delivering parts to a mate racing today.
It was an excellent event and far removed from the tedium of Gaydon. Some lovely cars today as well. When did anyone last see an E28 Alpina B7 Turbo - the full fat 330 bhp bad boy? Or a 1980 735i manual? Or a 1985 M635CSi on the correct metric BBS split rims with Michelin TRX boots?

It was a great day out - even if I did get sun-burn.
So much better than the Gaydon event, not least because there was track action to watch as well. And a bit less of the slammed, rev it up for pops and bangs type of owners!
Credit to BMWCC for a really well organised event.
After the last call for registration to do parade laps I went up to join the queue and the guy in front of me got the last place for M cars. But they just put me in the "other BMWs" category.
A few more photos.

k how fast that ugly green thing is. A Henna red E21 Alpina is going to be more fun.
