Z4 3.0si Coupe - track day alloys and other bits - advice
Discussion
Hi all,
So I am finally going to bite the bullet and have a go at taking my z4 Coupe on track - its never going to become a dedicated track car - I have a 182 stripped out for that. But I want to give it a go
Plan currently is
Pads
Brake fluid
Set of alloys with some r888r or similar and smaller 18 or 17 inch size.
I want alloys because I figure smaller lightweight alloys will make a difference (it really did on my clio)
Question is which wheels - and should I go for wider rear or a square set up?
Thanks

Just a thought but you might get a better response if you ask your questions on z4forum as someone on there is racing a Coupe and I know one other member has modified his Coupe for track days.
If you want to save weight 17s might be lighter than 18s and tyres should be cheaper! I've read that square set ups tend to reduce understeer on BMWs but I haven't driven any of mine on both, just staggered on some and square on others!
