I'm going to get my pal to order me an MFactory diff for my 2007 130i LE as it's a job I want to get done later in the year (that and sort a set of winter wheels for all-season tyres)...

Apart from diff seals / snap rings etc to buy and replace; what else might be worth replacing whilst the diff is out?

So far I'm thinking rear wheel bearings as they'll be the original; both guibo's, centre bearing, the boots/clips/grease for the rear drive shafts etc...

Anything else whilst I'm at it/ordering parts?

Might be worth dropping the rear sub frame fully to inspect it properly given the rust issues on the E8x / E9x sub frames these days. My understanding is that the tops that you can’t see can be an absolute horror show.

Definitely do the rear wheel bearings which can be absolute pigs. The ones on my 335i put up a massive fight for String Theory and took shedloads longer than expected.

They did that when they did the inserts; lowered it enough to give it a good look-over and it's nigh on spotless. There are a few bits I've missed with the BH Dynax; will get that done as soon as I feel up to it; not having a good weekend so far and had a bad night last night. So lazy day for me

Wheel bearings are on the list; but they may be a separate job before the LSD goes in etc

No thanks; that extra stiffness isn't needed, more so for the road. It takes bends superbly as it is...
