Bmw technician question

Hi all

Would you expect a bmw tech/dealership record any pre existing damage before conducting work in the area?

Long story short, vehicle has damage noticed immediarly after collection, made the dealer aware but they are denying it, claiming its pre existing. But i have never been made aware, it was me who made them aware

Some dealers have cameras that scan the car when they enter the workshop. Perhaps find out if this has them?

Yes. When I was a tech each car was checked on arrival and any damage recorded. This was usually done by a service advisor.
