BMW insured extended warranty cover
Discussion
Can any one tell me if i have a comprehensive BMW insured extended warranty in UK for a BMW car bought in uk from BMW.
The Car is 2016 model done only 29000 miles. Has also got BMW service pack for 3 years.
Will this cover any wiring loom defect caused by water damage.
will the BMW insured extended warranty look/ see the diagnostics of the car in the past.
my cars AC is not working and BMW say the above problem.
Thanks

The BMW Insured Warranty (comprehensive, named components, driveline or otherwise) usually won't cover any damage caused by external sources (in this case water) even if it's because a seal failed...as seals tend not to be covered either.
Also, your BMW dealer will want YOU to pay for the investigation time BEFORE they try and claim from the BMW Warranty (AWP/Allianz)...and some dealers just can't be arsed doing so.

I claimed 5 weeks ago, I didn't have to pay the £150 up front. Just the £250 excess on the car being finished. Also, your BMW dealer will want YOU to pay for the investigation time BEFORE they try and claim from the BMW Warranty (AWP/Allianz)...and some dealers just can't be arsed doing so.

A query, I've emailed BMW/Allianz but no reply
I 've seen an X3 that I like, reg 2017, first recorded service in 2020, a few services since at regular low mileage intervals. I don't really understand their service interval system, so it could well be that it's a FSH but the dealer, (non BMW) wasn't sure. Mileage is 30k.
I entered the reg into the BMW warranty page and received a reasonable quote, so my query is, if cover is offered, is that a guarantee that the warranty will be honoured in the future (all conditions being met of course), or is it possible that after checking their own records they might refuse to cover work?

The service history is on the I Drive and easy to understand as it lists what service was done, date and mileageI 've seen an X3 that I like, reg 2017, first recorded service in 2020, a few services since at regular low mileage intervals. Entries in green indicate service done on time / at required mileage
Entries in red indicate service done late / over required mileage
The insured warranty requires that the vehicle is serviced in accordance with BMWs stipulation's but does not have to be at a BMW dealer - you can use any VAT registered garage as long as BMW parts or OEM equivalent supported by invoices
BMW did give some leeway during Covid for services to be done outside the normal tolerance period(think that 8s 1000 miles or one month after service became overdue)
on 2016 car would be 2018/2020/2022 .
On my Mini it shows as ok for service in 2020 on summary screen but on details says 3months. It was in fact 2months late from due date -think 3 months may have been max allowed period.
