What's comfort access, is that where you walk up to the car and don't need the key, If so then that's not mine. I have to push the button to unlock the door. I can however start the car without a key.
That is just a standard remote key fob, with a start button on the dash (key needs to be nearby). I have the same on my 2016 335d, no need for a Faraday pouch, as I understand.dba7108 said:
After recently acquiring a 640d I am wary of keyless theft etc. I have the key in a faraday box. Does anyone know if these cars are pretty hard to steal without tapping into the key? It's a 2014 model.
Thanks
Given the age and type of model, I'm not sure it will be targetted. For peace of mind, check with specialist/BMW it has the latest software updates. Thanks
I had an 18 month old 530d tourer taken about 12 years via keyless theft (missing an update) the replacement 535d never got touched.
