Bmw E90 bi-xenon high beam problems
Discussion
Howdy all, wondering if anyone's had this before...
Got a 2008 bmw 330d with bi-xenons. Dipped beam, indicators and inner flashers all work fine, but pushing the stalk away to turn on the high beams makes the blue high beam light come on the dash, but no high beam.
However, if the car thinks the high beams are on, and I drive over a bumpy road, the high beams do flicker on and off.
Mobile mechanic thought it was a bad footwell control module, but I just think its a loose connection/ bad wiring on the wire that signals the shutters to operate - since they do work when a connection somewhere gets jiggled, and both sides flicker at the same time.
Its in with another garage for diagnosis on monday, but I dont want to throw a new module or new headlights at it when its just a loose connection somewhere - but annoyingly, it can't pass an mot with no high beams.
