Where does my G31 fit in at end of production run ?
Discussion
Hi everyone,I am trying to figure out the final-month production rarity for my G31 540i xDrive Touring.
My car rolled off the assembly line at the Dingolfing Plant on 8th February 2024—coincidentally the exact same day BMW officially revealed the new G61 Touring.Vehicle Details:Model: G31 LCI 540i xDrive Touring (Model Code: 72BM)Production Date: 08/02/2024VIN Sequence: WBA72BM000CR82994
Because my serial sequence is so high (R82994), I know it is right at the tail end of the G31 lifecycle. I know BMW doesn’t publish monthly breakdowns publicly, but I wanted to check if anyone with access to the historical build registries or AIR data could tell me :Approximately how many G31 540i xDrive Tourings were completed in February 2024 before the line switched over? What the absolute final serial number sequence was for the 72BM/G31 line? Any insight from the registry experts here would be hugely appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Not sure giving out a chassis number is giving anything away. Look in any carpark and you can read the chassis number of a whole host of cars in their windscreen.
Same with people blocking out their reg numbers when advertising a car, if I wanted to clone say a red Ford Focus, I could head over to any car selling website and choose between a whole host of reg numbers to use

VIN (Vehicle Identification Number - not chassis number) has had to be visible since 1980. Certainly very late in the run, but wouldn't know further details. I have a late 2023 G31 530d here in Germany and the LCI's are really well acomplished. I've sat in a few G61's and whilst undeniably technically superior, it doesn't really have the assured quality or feeling of longevity I get in my G31.
Followed a few G61 540ds on the autobahn however, and they don't hang about...

This is as much as I can gather at the moment, would really like the exact data
