Concerning problems with traction out of tight corners and on greasy roads. Has anyone tried retrofitting a BMW or aftermarket LSD? Or would it be easier just to buy one with it already fitted?

Thanks.

I would have thought the E34 540 would come with an LSD anyway...apparently my 730 has one?!

I'm pretty convinced that yours has one as standard. Describe your traction problem.

I was fairly sure that I didn't have a limited slip diff on mine. However, plugging my chassis number in on www.realoem.com suggests that I might have one after all:-

Hmmm...

Probably an obvious one this but if you are in doubt as to your diff being a slipper, jack the rear of the car up so as both rear wheels can be turned manualy and check that both wheels turn in the same direction.
