E30 M3 just will not start! any clues?

my e30 m3 has been in storage for 2 years and up until then ran like a dream. but now 2 years later it wont start (cant blame it really) ive checked the engine and it is definatly getting a spark, has compression and new fuel cause old stuff was stale. the fuel pump is working because i took the tube of the fuel pressure regulator and fuel flooded through.

so this led me to a problem with the injection system but i know little about whatever jetronic system it is, so does anybody have any ideas or info for me as im stuck?

The way you describe it, it could be that the stale fuel has clogged up the injectors. Are the spark plugs wet when you take them out ?

I don't honestly know how to clean injectors, but I believe some places can ultra-sonically clean them.

the plugs are not wet but it just seems weird that all 4 injectors would fail, but then i know little about jetronic systems.

I had an E21 standing for a long while, and it also had a spark- visually, but wouldn't start. I mucked about with the fuel system for ages to no avail. I changed the spark plugs any way and the thing started first time!
Moral- in this case although there was a visual spark it wasn't strong enough to fire the engine up!

The E30 M3 has a Motronic fuel injection system, (Motronic 1.2 or 1.3 I think).
Does your engine have a cold start injector or is enrichment done by the main four injectors?
You could check the pulse width at the injectors to see if they're getting a signal with a multi meter.
You could check the fuel delivery hose from the rear of the car- crack it open and check there's fuel coming from the fuel pump- obviously be careful when you do this!
There's alot of other things you could do.
I HATE modern injection systems- I work with them every day!

Could well be the injection relay. There are two relays under the black cover on the bulkhead, one for the injection one for the ignition. Cant tell you which is which though.

Get a 12 volt bulb or multi meter and connect it across an injector treminal and crank the engine. Bulb should light up as the injector gets volts across it to open.
Could be a duff crank position sensor on bell housing.
Swithces and relays dont like not being used..

I'd also go for the DME (main relay) behing the bulk head panel as will.

If could also be a failing/failed fuel pump you need to check fuel pressure to check

theres def fuel pressure up to the pressure regulator so theres fuel to the injectors, but your ideas on relays and checking pulse width sound promising i will give it a go and hope the bitch behaves
