VANOS on non-BMW warranty?

Hi All,

Given the increasingly painful costs of BMW M Warranties - I was wondering if anyone out there has an independent (non-BMW) Warranty that covered VANOS units? I've just spoken to one 'leading' warranty provider who wouldnt go near the idea.

Taking it one step further - has anyone actually successfully claimed on a private warranty for VANOS failure????
