E39 Touring - annoying problems with radio interference

Yesterday I noticed my radio beging to crackle/lose reception every now and again. Just realised the interference only occurs when the brake pedal is depressed?

Obvsiously a wiring/aerial fault somewhere but anyone know where's the best spot to start looking??

I have same problem with interference when heated rear screen is on. E46 touring. The aerial is stuck to nsr window like a heater element. I am sure the earth for both runs to the same point, and is probably not very secure, but haven't had inclination to investigate. I would check the bulbs are secure in their housings, and the earth is separated, I think there is a booster on the aerial behind left hand panel in boot, check wires are secure. Do you have a tow bar fitted?
