Chipping my 320d Commuter

Ok, the 136bhp engine is boring me to death. It's an x-reg 2000 MY 136 bhp unit.

I want to liven things up - reliably, it has to start every morning and not pop too many turbos! The problem is I don't want to spend 10% of the cars value doing it.

Superchips offer an extra 30bhp but this is at a website quoted cost of £499 which is too steep by about 40-50%.

What do you think - who else should I look at and how much should I pay?

I have a later 150 bhp model, with a Superchip and I was chuffed to bits with the results. Happy to say their claims seem true. I got a deal through contacts in the trade, so paid c£400.

Olf, get DMS to come and remap it for you for that sort of money.

p.s. I meant to say to you, if you kept the silver one it would become your commuter... nice... but expensive.
