Ive had my 330ci for a week now, as for maintenance i couldnt comment, as for servicing i couldnt comment!!! as for fuel consumption, its better than i thought....full tank gets you 400 miles maybe mid to late 3's if your giving it some every now and again. I had a diesel before, the 330 is great you wont be sorry. Its my first BM and i can see why people dont go back to anything else.

You must have a very light foot or a bigger tank than my car! I around 300 miles or 25mpg mixed drivingThe 330Ci is a great car, I know, I drive one!

Can't really comment on servicing as i get mine heavily discounted.
As for fuel consumption i'm averaging around 23MPG rising to around 29MPG on a motorway run, though i do DRIVE mine.....everywhere!!

Go for it. I've had mine a month and love it.. 03 plate in blue (not sure what blue now) with all the bells and whistles. The right colour leather (beige), satnav and tv, steptronic gear box.. It came with a recent full BMW service which the previous guy had done and that was just over the 500 squid mark.. The next is an oil service in 15k. He also put new tyres on as well. I do mostly long runs and the fuel consumtion is coming out at 29.3 to 29.9... Or, so the readout on the trip tells me. Haven't got to the 30 mark. And doubt I will... I've tried hard.. Heavy foot..!!! Not quite up to the 400 miles in the tank yet..! 300 miles sounds more realistic...
Had mine for 18 months and still really enjoy it.
Servicing can be steep - but it really depends whether the schedule has been followed previously i.e. FSH I think is a must.
Personally I would make sure you have a warranty with whatever you buy (I had an alternator and water pump go - although the mileage is high at 100k +), I'm glad I did!

Ive been on two longish runs and around town more often than usual, filled mine up a week sunday, done 320 miles and it still says 54 on the range finder. I filled it with Optimax which cost me £56 so i reckon thats pretty good and as its my first week of ownership so you know what its like 'the sound of that straight six is addictive so ive had my foot down quite a bit'.

ex cerbera, chimaera and m3 owner - now have an '03 330ci clubsport auto...
would have bought the m3 but the servicing/warranty costs are higher.
The 330ci is great for commuting (main role) but tend to drive it in sports mode.
Seems to run well and getting 25mpg on 100mile (each day) commute with mixture of fast roads and heavy traffic.

I've had my 330ci sport for nearly three years and it has been perfect. I get 400 miles from a tank and its brilliant. The servicing is very reasonable. I cleaned it and took some pics on Sunday with full intention of banging it on Autotrader, but I just couldnt do it. I'm thinking of getting a CSL next, but it will cost twice the price to do anything in it. Mega induction noise though. What a dilemma
