Anyone tried Eibach springs on E46 touring

I have a 01 330i SE touring. I really wanted a 330 sport but couldn't find any in my price range at the time. My car already had the 18" wheels so that leaves the suspension (I don't care about the M badges on the interior etc) - the worst thing is how much the car rolls around bends when cornering hard. I've seen Eibach springs on eBay for £120 which seems pretty good but when chatting to a BMW specialist they say it'll be £400 to fit (although I've seen ads on eBay for other shocks where they say they'll fit them for £60!) The garage also said that to do it properly you need to get the anti roll bar etc and that a sport is too harsh for British roads anyway...
So, has anyone fitted Eibach springs - if so, how much was the fitting, did it help and was it too harsh?
