Corroded brake lines?
Discussion
Our E39 just failed it's MOT on "corroded brake lines"
The car is 7 years old and the brake lines are so bad that they have to changed?
Now either this is the latest money spinning method from the MOT stations or BMW has a quality issue. Surly parts as vital as the brake lines should be designed in such a way that they securly function during the expected live of an avarage car. Now 7 year cannot be the avarage live expectancy of an 5 series BMW.
Anyone else failed the MOT due to corroded brake lines?

The bit that grates was the Inspection 1 service that cost £580 only 6 weeks before the MOT!
