Z4 Coupe Stereo

I have a z4m Coupe with standard stereo and the sound quality is truely horrid. I would like to upgrade it. What are the best options, I want to keep the existing head unit as I dont want the look of an aftermarket system. Can I install an amp with the existing head unit or can I buy a new bmw head unit which will fit an amp. Or is the best place to start is some new speakers?

BMW systems are very bad generally, and the main problem is the head unit and implification. Speak to prestige audio - they are very knowledgable to this, and can offer all sorts of solutions.
