Wing Mirror bracket

Hello all.
Running a 2002 745i.
Due a a moment of total incompetance I've ripped off the drivers side wing mirror.
HAving looked at it, the damage is straightforward.
I've snapped the bracket that hold on the the wingmirror and channels the electrics to it (standard wingmirror with electric adjustment of mirror glass but mirrors don't fold).
Just wondering....
1. How do I get in to the door panel to remove the broken bracket?
2. Where will I be able to find a replacement bracket?
Simple enough job to do myself and I don't fancy paying a dealer 300 quid for a new wingmirror when all that is broken is a plastic bracket.
(It's the bit that swivels so you can manually fold the mirrors in).
