Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a Z4 3.0 or M3 and have stumbled on the website ( http://www.districtgarage.com ) of a garage in Warrington but they seem rather cheap compared to other places i've looked even considering the fact they are not a BMW dealer, i just wondered if anyone had heard of them before and if i should steer clear before making the trip down from Newcastle as it's a fair way. I'd normally discount such places straight away but have had a bit of a google and nothing untoward showed up so thought i'd give them the benefit of the doubt and ask here as there is no harm as i've had no luck trying to find a decent priced car in the North East as dealers keep flogging em before i get there!

Oh and i know they are two rather different beasts but when i saw the M3 convertable at that price it got me thinking as the practicallity benefit could be handy considering the small price difference.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Thanks
Col

Thanks jasongtr, you've confirmed there what i thought. i only really questioned it as there seems to be far more reasonably priced cars for sale down south so wondered if it was just a genuine bargin but going on the prices you've mentioned i was being a tad optimistic smile

Think i'll stick with the Z4 3.0 as it's a far more realistic prospect for say 18k

Oh and Aeroresh, it was an honest question smile althought i work in IT so keeping your firewall running is always a good idea, regardless of the website wink

Cheers

If you look on the page, it says

"The recorded mileage is known to be incorrect"

which might explain why its so cheap

Edit: Actually it seems to say that under every car on every page

I had thought that was a generic disclaimer as it says that on all their cars from the few i checked.

I know them quite well - a few of my friends have bought cars off them, and I've used up a fair bit of their time in the past, and they've still been very good to me. Quite a varied range of stuff (206's/Corsa's to bling'd up Rangies, few TVR's and they alwayd have a Fezza or two) but they seem to know their stuff whenever I've questioned them. Nearly bought a 996 off them a few months back, and was tempted by a black Z4 they had/have in.

As for the mileage stuff... don't nearly all garages do that these days? Can't remember the last time I saw a car in a garage without one of those little mileage stickers on the dash!

Well it does sound really cheap for a nice M3, but just make some enquiries. What have you got to lose?

You never know, you may have yourself a bargain

Cheers JKay, crash damaged would explain the price, easier if they put that on the advert mind!

Back the the Z4 search in Newcastle, which ain't proving easy !

I know it would make things easier if they mentioned it wouldnt it. Someone mentioned to me they were up there today and thats how I know.

Good luck in the search for the Z4. Take your time, as if ones not right, I'm sure the right one will come along
