3 Series Air Con - Hedgehog or not?

Just had my 51 plate 3 series re-gassed as the aircon was not blowing very cold but note it does blow perfectly fine, just not cold. Having read the earlier thread it seems it may be my hedgehog but I thought the symptoms of hedgehog failure were no blow AT ALL i.e. neither hot nor cold.

Having been re-gassed it's still blowing warm air - advice please!

Doesn't sound like the typical hedgehog randomness typified by the auto air system ignoring all inputs and randomising both temp and fan speed.

Sounds more like you might have a deeper issue with either the compressor or the condenser. Visit to an AC specialist might be in order.

My hedgehog is playing up... I think. Symptoms are simply that the fan sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work. It seems to go on and off of its own accord or sometimes won't come on at all. I keep meaning to change it but I'm a lazy arse.

Before you change it, just try pulling fuse 50 and leave it out for a minute or two. Reset mine and it's been fine since.

Cheers tried that but no joy. I tried with the ignition off, should I try with it on???
