E39 5 Series Comms Pack Telephone: Best way to upgrade?
Discussion
hello, my E39 535i Sport is 7 years old and I've been considering chopping it in for something newer. I checked trade-in values (not good) and have decided to keep my car and spend some money on updates and some cosmetic TLC.
The Sat Nav CD unit had packed-up, so I recently replaced it with a second-hand MK4 DVD unit from eBay, that now works really well. Thanks for the advice on that from this forum.
Now I'd like to update the buit-in telephone system which came as part of the Comms Pack and used a Motorola V50 handset. The handset stopped working ages ago, and anyway, it's completely out of date. So....
Has anyone updated their system?
Is it best just to buy a separate Bluetooth hands-free unit and forget about the old integrated system?
thanks for any advice
