Ultimate BMW Show Santa Pod 23/09

Im going up with the E30Zone.net so far we have 131 cars on the list but expect anbout a third to actually turn up .

We actually had 92 E30's there last year

I'll be there as will a few other Z's and I now have AP Racing front brakes fitted too, so we'll have a go on the handling circuit as well as the 1/4. I'm looking forward to seeing what the grip's like as I've only ever done 1/4's at Melboure (York Raceway) and grip is always an issue there, but I think the Pod is supposed to be much better. Hoping to do some 13's!

Had quite a good day, but disappointed with the times. Strong headwind and not launching particularly well saw a BTD of 14.3

Saw some lovely metal and some not so lovely. Drifters were impressive, but wow, what a mess they make.

Was there a lot of you heading north on the M25 past junction 28 on sunday morning at about 8am ish ??

I saw a lot of M powered 3's of different vintage as i was heading around that morning...

8am pah, we met at at South Mimms services at 7am and charged up in convoy. We had 116 E30's in attendance

I cant link to the E30Zone pics but surfice to say we were the bigest club in attendance

i went was a blinding day there and i ran up the strip,was very dawnting to be honest but good fun.

I have to agree it's quite daunting at first and a lot harder than it looks.

That explains a lot, it took me all day to get into the thirteens and I had expected better terminal speeds.

hi top pup,nice pic mate,i didnt see that one.the run i had with you was my second,my first one i totally spun the rears but when i ran with u i rod ethe clucth a little,seemed to work best for me,gotta say your car was so quick.not the best car to run against for my 2nd time only lolol

Hey I found another pic of your car Rossi, not as good as the other though.



Your run didn't seem too bad to me, I was still strugling to get off the line then, that run was only 14.6s, I got down to 13.9s later on with a little still left to find.
15.5s seems pretty good for a 328 has yours been played with at all?

cheers fella for the pics,didnt know of these ones,The one with the E30 was my first run,totally messed up and spun stupidly,caught up and went past him in the end but got a silly slow time,The car was remapped before i took hold of it and i later fitted a GruppeM,Thats about it fella appart from brake upgrades and suspension.
Would have loved to get some more time on the strip and get to real low 15`s.
I thought i would have got more traction than i did on the strip but its slippyer than you think.
